Week notes 2

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Development, Prisons

What the Digital Services Division has been up to this week:

Daniela Tzvetkova has joined us as a new product / service manager. She’ll be leading on work on civil claims, including money and possession claims, as well as child custody/contact applications. She’s already dived into researching the issues ahead of a formal discovery phase next month.

Delivery manager Lisa Woo and new developer James Darling are pushing ahead with work developing an ‘alpha’ (test product) for tribunal decisions. This will make it easier for lawyers, journalists and the public to find details of particular cases.

Our developers visited their counterparts at the GDS – which was a nice change from swapping Tweets. The devs discussed how to share best practice and how we could help test some of their apps. It's still early days, but this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship…

Product / service manager Gavin Bell, Alice Newton and Roger Oldham visited Gartree Prison to find out about prison visits booking – watch out for a blog about this over the next few days.

It's vital to learn more about the experiences of our users and front-line staff, so we will carry out other visits over the coming weeks.
